PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING
Production Camps require more commitment from students than an average summer camp. Students are working together towards a final performance. If you are unsure about the rehearsal process, please email firstname.lastname@example.org before registering.
- All students registered will be part of the cast. Students will not be given a part before rehearsals begin. Once the ensemble has formed and the directors have extensively worked with students on scenes and characters from the play, specific roles will be assigned after the first day of camp.
This full-day in-person 2-week performance camp focuses on Acting, Playwriting, and Design.
Students will have the opportunity to write and perform their own story centralized around the children’s book, Tiger In My Soup. Students will begin the week playing theatre/improv games and brainstorming the story. After establishing a script and casting the play students will rehearse their collaborative story as they build towards an exciting end-of-week performance!
ABOUT Tiger In My Soup: “Sometimes it’s almost impossible to get your big sister to read your favorite book to you. Sometimes you have to go to great lengths even to get her attention! But if you’re really creative and use your imagination, you might just get what you want. Take care, though, not to go too far. Once you conjure up a tiger, there’s no telling where it might lead…
Author Kashmira Sheth brings readers a humorous, reading-centered story of the dynamic between a younger brother and older sister.”
Details about end of camp show and share will be sent via parent portal.
Students should bring (1) face-mask, (1) water bottle, (2) nut-free snacks and (1) nut-free lunch to camp EACH DAY
