FALL I SESSION 

Creative Players: The World of Fables – $85 | Grades PreK4 – K

6-week course. Your young artist can get their creative passport stamped as they use creative play to explore stories and the cultures they come from.  Fables can be found in the literature of almost every country on Earth. This enduring form of folk story uses animals, plants, and various inanimate objects to teach and entertain.

The final class ends with a Process Sharing – Parents are welcome to attend!

Storytellers: The World of Fables – $85 | Grades 1st – 2nd – Tuesday enrollment is now closed. Saturday enrollment closes 9/12/19 at 5:00 PM

6-week course. Acting I – $230 | Grades 3rd – 12th – Enrollment for this class is now closed.

*NEW* 12-Week Course. This class will introduce students to the basics of acting. Topics covered include: Scoring a script, finding objectives, playing action, and basic scene study.

*PLEASE NOTE* Attendance in the final three classes is MANDATORY. Attendance is crucial to success in this course both for the individual and the entire class. Acting I includes scene work with partners that will culminate in a Performance Sharing on December 3rd.

Musical Theatre – $230 | Grades 3rd – 12th – Enrollment for this class closes 9/9/2019 at 5:00 PM

*NEW* 12-Week Course. This class will immerse students in the world of musical theatre. Topics covered include: The structure of a musical, how to score a song, playing action through music, finding objectives, basic vocal technique, basic dance steps, and how to use dance to tell stories.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendance in the final three classes is MANDATORY.  Attendance is crucial to success in this course both for the individual and the entire class. Musical Theatre includes choreography and vocal work with partners that will culminate in a Performance Sharing on December 4th.

Performance Class: Cabaret! – $230 | Grades 3rd – 8th – Enrollment for this class is now closed.

*NEW* 12-Week Course. Students will work with Trike teaching artists to put together an evening of cabaret entertainment. Each student’s unique creative voice will be amplified as he/she performs scenes, poems, songs, and monologues.  The final project will serve as the featured entertainment at our annual Holiday Party.

*PLEASE NOTE* Attendance in the final three classes is MANDATORY. Attendance is crucial to success in this course both for the individual and the entire class. Performance Class includes individual and partner work that will culminate in a Performance Sharing on December 12th and 13th.

*NEW LOCATION* 4-Week Course. This class uses creative play and basic movement exercises to help young artists build confidence, learn life skills, and develop their creative voice. Each month will be centered around a different story or series of characters from popular children’s literature.

+The Actor & the Story – $100/Session | Grades 3rd – 6th

*NEW LOCATION* 4-Week Course. Students use improv, acting exercises, devising, and more to immerse themselves in, and explore some of their favorite stories. This class will teach not only acting technique but allow students to change the story and explore outcomes in ways that help them find their own artistic voice.

Master Class – Trike Ambassadors Only | Grades 9th – 12th

6-Week Course. This class will cover an advanced theatre-related topic. This class is exclusively for Trike Theatre Ambassadors.

PREREQUISITE: Students must be accepted into the Ambassadors Program.

SEPTEMBER 9-OCTOBER 14 | MONDAYS | 4:30pm-6:50pm | Trike Theatre

 

Next Gen Rehearsal and Performance – $300 | Grades 9th-12th

12-Week Course. Students in the Next Gen cast will develop a new work for performance. This new work will be a devised experience focusing on the issues that our young artists hold as meaningful or needing of expression. PLEASE NOTE: This class will meet once a week, on Thursdays, until October 17. On Monday, October 21st Next Gen will begin meeting on Mondays and Thursdays for the rest of the class.

PREREQUISITE: Students must audition to be accepted into the Next Gen cast. If you cannot attend the audition date (below) please email Head of Academy, Chris Tennison – chris@triketheatre.org

6-week course. Become Master Librarians of Time! Students will use creative play to explore the stories from the best-selling book series and learn the basics of story structure, character, and acting fundamentals.

Take the Stage – $85 | Grades K-2nd

*NEW* 6-week course. Kindergarten through 2nd graders will use their Creative Players and Storytellers skills to put on a play!  They will collaborate to develop an original script, rehearse, and present their play in a Performance Sharing for family and friends in Trike’s Blackbox Theatre on the final day of class.

OPEN STUDIO

Open Studio is available for Trike Academy Camps only.

$15/day per child

Drop-Off: 8:00 AM – 8:50 AM

Pick-Up: 4:10 PM – 5:00 PM

Prices will not be adjusted if you should choose to do only morning or evening Open Studio. Prices cover both morning and evening Open Studios.

Registration & Cancellation Policies

All Academy classes and camps are for grades that children are currently enrolled in. Should your child wish to enroll in an upper level course, e-mail Head of Academy, Chris Tennison chris@triketheatre.org for special permission.

For all PreK4 – K grade camps a child must be 4 years old and be able to use the restroom without assistance at the time a class/camp begins.

REGISTRATION: You may register for classes and camps online or by visiting our location and paying by check or cash. All class/camp information including Trike Theatre policies will be sent via email by Friday before class/camp begins. Academy classes and camps are for the grade levels in which students are currently enrolled.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We understand that life doesn’t always go as planned. Cancellation of registration two weeks before a class or camp begins will result in a full refund of tuition or credit towards another class or camp. Cancellation less than two weeks before a registered class or camp begins will result in 50% refund and the tuition fee may be used as credit for another class or camp. Cancellation the week a class or camp begins will result in no refund given. Trike Theatre reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment is insufficient and tuition will be refunded or credited in full.
